Each quarter, the West Virginia Business Volunteer Council (BVC) will award two matching mini-grants (up to $500 each) to encourage private/nonprofit partnerships through meaningful community service projects. To be eligible, both a small business and nonprofit agency must be involved with the planning and implementation of the service project.
Eligible Organizations
- Businesses with fewer than 25 full-time employees (partnering with a nonprofit organization)
- Nonprofit organizations (partnering with a for-profit company)
- Labor organizations
- Associations
Eligible Service Projects
Any community project is eligible where one or more employee(s) of both a private and nonprofit organization are volunteering on a service project. Priority will be given to projects that:
- Promote workplace volunteering
- Demonstrate participation from the community
- Meet a need deemed important by the community
- Provide an opportunity for community-minded volunteers to network
