SOUTH CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Mitigation specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be visiting local area home supply stores beginning today
to talk to shoppers, residents, the curious and some who may have been directly affected by recent storms. They will offer tips on how to lessen the damage to their homes and businesses from future flooding.
The specialists will visit Lowe’s, 84 Lumber and Lester’s on selected dates. The store addresses

“This effort by our FEMA partner to bring mitigation experts into our communities is important because not only will residents and business owners get printed information, they will be able to speak to a specialist and get answers to specific questions,” said Jimmy Gianato, director of the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
