Welcome to VolunteerWV.org, an online database that matches people who want to volunteer with organizations that need volunteers. Matches are made on the basis of interest, location, and availability.
I want to volunteer. What do I do?
My organization needs volunteers. What do I do?
- Register as a partner organization.
- Print, sign, and mail the Memorandum of Agreement.
- View the manual with step-by-step instructions on how to register as a partner and use the reporting function to track how many hours volunteers have served with your organization. (pdf) (html)
- Post a volunteer opportunity, and contact potential volunteers.
My organization wants to use your system to track the hours of our volunteers, but we don’t want to recruit any additional volunteers. Can we do that?
- Absolutely! Just register as an affiliate and make sure your volunteers register with us as well. When your volunteers register, they should select your organization as their affiliate.
- View the how-to manual for affiliates. (pdf) (html)
I have a large number of people that need to log volunteer hours. Can I log volunteer hours in bulk?
I forgot my password. What do I do?
But I don’t even remember my UserID. Now what?
- Call Lisa Tignor at (304) 558-0111 and explain the situation.
What if I don’t have internet access?
- We have 21
County Partners covering 40 counties who will find an
opportunity for you. See our list of partners and
find one for your county. Call or email their office, and
ask if they can help you find a volunteer opportunity.
What if I don’t have internet access and there is no county partner covering my county?
- Call Lisa Tignor at (304) 558-0111.
Can someone talk to my organization about the benefits
of registering, and how to do so?
- Sure! Call Lisa Tignor at (304) 558-0111 or email Lisa.A.Tignor@wv.gov
to arrange for Lisa to visit your office.
