Volunteers are the greatest resource in West Virginia communities creating the solutions that will make a difference for today and for the future.  Organizations cannot waste the time, talent or gifts of this resource through ineffective programming, inadequate organizational structure, or poor utilization of volunteers.

The Volunteer Management Basics curriculum was developed for the WV Commission for National and Community Service by members of the WV Association for Volunteer Administration (WVAVA) and Trudy Seita, Trudy Seita Associates.  WVAVA is an organization whose purpose is to promote professionalism and strengthen leadership in volunteerism.
